Water Puzzle Game - Instructions

Objective

The goal is to fill the target container with exactly 400ml of water. If the water in the target container exceeds 400ml, it will overflow, and it's Game Over.

Equipment

You are provided with two cups to measure the water:

1. 300ml Cup (Left)
2. 500ml Cup (Right)

Controls

Each cup has a set of control buttons:

Icon / Button	Action	Description
💧	Fill	Fills the cup with water. • If upright: Fills to 100% (Max capacity). • If tilted: Fills to 50% (Half capacity).
🗑️	Empty	Discards all water from the cup.
↺	Tilt	Tilts the cup diagonally. • Physics: If you tilt a full cup, water spills out until it is exactly half full. • Capacity: A tilted cup holds half its volume (300ml → 150ml, 500ml → 250ml).
500ml / 300ml	Transfer	Pours water from the current cup into the other cup. You can only pour until the other cup is full.
GOAL	Pour to Goal	Pours all water from the current cup into the target container.

How to Win (Solution Examples)

There are multiple ways to solve this puzzle. Here are two main strategies:

Strategy A: The "Tilt" Method

Use geometry to measure half amounts.

1. Tilt the 300ml cup (↺) and Fill it (💧). -> You get 150ml.
2. Pour it into the GOAL. (Target: 150ml)
3. Tilt the 500ml cup (↺) and Fill it (💧). -> You get 250ml.
4. Pour it into the GOAL. (Target: 150ml + 250ml = 400ml)
5. Success!

Strategy B: The "Transfer" Method

Use subtraction by transferring water between cups.

1. Fill the 500ml cup (Upright).
2. Transfer to the 300ml cup. -> This leaves exactly 200ml in the 500ml cup.
3. Pour the remainder (200ml) to the GOAL.
4. Empty the 300ml cup.
5. Repeat steps 1-3. (Target: 200ml + 200ml = 400ml)
6. Success!
